Practicing architects in Brazil are professionally registered with the Conselho de Arquitetura e Urbanismo do Brasil (CAU-BR). Beyond documents that provide personal identity information, a candidate must submit college transcripts, a copy of the diploma obtained, and the registry information of the degree program within the country’s regulating body for higher education, the Ministério de Educação e Cultura (MEC).
