About the project

DCMNT is an ongoing research initiative looking to understand the infrastructures that support architectural practice across social contexts.

The goal of this investigation is to pinpoint the factors that justify the change in valuation of the architect’s role from culture to culture. Deepening the value proposition of architectural professionals around the world is the ultimate desired outcome.

About the author

Gabriela Baierle is an architect practicing in the United States. She was born and raised in Brazil, and is also a citizen of Italy. She is an architect at Finegold Alexander in Boston, where she specializes in academic projects.
